Climate Skills: Seeds of Transition
How do we support the next generation to understand, mitigate and adapt to climate change, and take a leading role in the ‘just transition’ and the move towards a green economy?
We are exploring these questions and designing responses in collaboration with British Council and a diversity of local partners, including farmers and extractivists in Brazil, universities in the Mekong Delta (Vietnam) and Maharasthra (India), and alternative energy providers in Indonesia.
The learning programme we’ve created centres around collective action, regenerative leadership and systems thinking, as well as green skills and livelihoods.

Music Industry Systems Mapping
What are the pathways for young people from marginalised and ethnic backgrounds to build a career in the music industry? Where are the opportunities? Where are the blockages? What systems are involved and what needs to shift?
Create Adapt is providing advice on systems mapping for this nation-wide (UK) research project.

Global Climate Connection
How do you build a global community of climate researchers when they all speak different languages?
We believe learning from local experience around the world is critical for effective climate action. With this in mind we are working with new and old technologies to create an environment for insight sharing and skill building that allows people who speak different languages to communicate and collaborate with ease.
The Global Climate Connection is delivered in partnership with The Green Box for British Council.

Reshaping EU-UK relations
What do young people and organisations want from the future of UK-EU relations, and what should decision-makers do to make it happen?
In a departure from the divisive Brexit debates that accompanied the UK leaving the European Union in 2016, Create Adapt consulted over 120 UK and EU youth sector organisations to support the drafting of recommendations that are now informing high-level dialogue on the future relationship. This was carried out in partnership with People, Dialogue & Change, as part of the British Council's Stronger Together programme. Create Adapt are also supporting an emerging network of EU and UK organisations to continue the work. See the recommendations here.

This has truly been a gift for Spark+Mettle and we look forward to continuing our work with them in the future.”
“Dan and James are such knowledgeable people with great expertise on sustainable development, and an ability to adapt to different industries. In November 2016 I was announced as the winner of the Kering award for Sustainable Development and I give a lot of credit to Dan for being there to guide me. I highly recommend his mentorship and coaching.”
“Working with Dan and James over the last nine years on the design and delivery of Active Citizens has been a wonderful experience. They’ve continuously supported the British Council to explore issues and opportunities from a variety of perspectives, providing insights which have been vital in developing a flexible programme that works across communities and audiences. I highly recommend their consultancy support.”
