A simple intuitive installation which investigates our relationship with control and uncertainty. Audiences are invited interact and collaborate (eating, drinking, reading, holding a child) whilst balancing on a connected loop of see-saws. Gradually they experience the transition from simple to complex as system feedback loops of sound, wind and movement propel their relationships into chaos.
The Balancing Act was first pilotedi n 2018 at The Change Collective Lab in London (see picture below) before being adapted for different audiences and integrated into workshops and change processes in several countries around the world.
See The Balancing Act tool for a simple no-tech version.
